(5.1) Copyright Guidelines

Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain the copyright of their published articles.

  • Upon acceptance, authors grant the Evidence-Based Nursing Journal (EBNJ) a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in print and electronic formats.

  • The journal reserves the right to format, edit, and publish the manuscript while maintaining the integrity of the work.

Licensing Policy

  • Articles are published under a Creative Commons License (CC BY 4.0) (recommended for international standards) unless otherwise specified.

  • Users may share, copy, redistribute, and adapt the material for academic and non-commercial purposes with proper citation.

  • Proper acknowledgment of the original source and journal citation is mandatory.

Author Responsibilities

  • The manuscript must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.

  • Authors must obtain permission for copyrighted material (figures, tables, images).

  • All sources must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.

Plagiarism Policy

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Manuscripts with similarity above the acceptable threshold (typically 10–15%) may be rejected.

  • EBNJ follows a double-blind peer review process.

  • Reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure impartial evaluation.

  • Final decisions are made by the Editorial Board.

Publication Ethics

  • The journal adheres to ethical guidelines aligned with international publication standards.

  • Research involving human participants must include Institutional Ethics Committee approval.

  • Informed consent must be clearly stated where applicable.

Conflict of Interest

  • Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may influence their work.

Open Access Policy

  • EBNJ provides open access to published content to promote global knowledge dissemination.

  • Readers may freely access and download articles without subscription fees.

Retraction Policy

  • Articles may be retracted in cases of misconduct, plagiarism, ethical violations, or major data errors.

  • Retraction notices will be clearly published.

Archiving Policy

(5.4) Article Submission Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript to EBNJ, ensure the following:

Author Requirements

☐ Informed consent statement included (if required)

Manuscript Preparation

☐ Title page with author details
☐ Abstract (structured, 250–300 words)
☐ Keywords (5–7 SEO-friendly keywords)
☐ Main text formatted according to journal guidelines
☐ References in APA / Vancouver style (as specified)
☐ Tables and figures properly labeled
☐ Plagiarism similarity below accepted limit
